Kristin Luna, Journalist

Tennessee native Kristin Luna got her feet wet in the travel industry by working in-house at several publishing companies in New York, which included Newsweek, Time Inc., Conde Nast, Bauer Publishing and Wenner Media, before transitioning to a freelance career. She has penned more than a dozen guidebooks for Frommer’s and written cover stories and feature articles for such publications as Parade, AFAR, Travel + Leisure, Newsweek, Conde Nast Traveler, Southern Living and Real Simple. Today, while Kristin still freelances, she more regularly works with city and state tourism boards to tell their stories through words, photos and videos via the media production company, Odinn Media, and 12-year-old blog Camels & Chocolate she runs with her husband Scott. The duo has worked with such brands and DMOs as Visit OKC, Texas Tourism, Visit Savannah, Visit New Orleans, Visit Lexington, South Dakota Tourism, Visit Florida, Visit Britain, Cayman Islands, Airbnb, Hilton and Fairmont Hotels.
